Safe and Secure Storage
Our heated halls provide a controlled climate to protect boats against frost damage and mould growth. Heated storage is particularly recommended for wooden boats and boats with extensive wooden structures, as the slightly higher humidity helps protect the timber. We also offer unheated storage in a 2,500-square-metre hall. The boat halls have perimeter protection with fire and intruder alarms connected to a security company.

Our entire facility at Vindö Marin, as well as the training of our personnel, is adapted for handling large boats up to approximately 65 feet, whether this involves boat lifts, mast unstepping, transport or the available height inside the storage halls. Vindö Marin’s harbour is located on northern Orust in a position sheltered from the weather. The boat halls have perimeter protection with fire and intruder alarms connected to a security company. The buildings have a modern construction designed to withstand heavy snow loads and strong winds. Personal access to the halls is restricted. Boat movements within the harbour are carried out by personnel with extensive seafaring experience and Swedish Deck Officer Class VIII certification, enabling us to offer delivery sailing when required.

All boat handling in the harbour and ashore follows procedures developed in consultation with insurance companies. Boat and mast lifts are carried out by trained personnel using suitably rated equipment. All lifting equipment undergoes a continuous servicing and maintenance programme. Boat movements within the harbour are carried out by personnel with extensive seafaring experience and Swedish Deck Officer Class VIII certification, enabling us to offer delivery sailing when required. Transport using forklifts and trailers is carried out by certified personnel. Each boat is placed in an individual cradle adapted to the specific boat.

Environment
We create a good working environment for both boats and people. When a boat is lifted ashore, we wash its underwater surfaces on a purpose-built wash pad that collects residues and directs them to a treatment plant. All residues are collected and handled for safe disposal. The wash pad is not the only part connected to the environmental system; waste products from across the entire facility are directed to the treatment plant.
Our high-capacity treatment system enables us to carry out extensive underwater hull remediation using wet blasting, a combination of water and sand, and to manage the resulting waste safely. The storage halls are fitted with ventilation and extraction systems that provide good air circulation, creating the cleanest possible environment for visiting boat owners, personnel and boats.
